Established in 2024, Crag Pit Studios is a non-profit family run space. We host small groups of artists, theatre makers, musicians and writers for residencies in our converted barn. We are a welcoming and open space looking for unique projects and people to join our ever growing community of creative people. What is a Crag Pit?
Crag Pit, Aldeburgh is a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Aldeburgh in Suffolk. It is a Geological Conservation Review site, and within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is the most northern site which exposes the Pliocene Coralline Crag Formation around five million years ago. It has rich and diverse fossils, including many bryozoans, and other fauna include serpulid and several boring forms. (Wikipedia)
